Identity verification
Don't bring your SIN to this checklist
Your lender will request your SIN only through their secure credit-consent process — usually a one-time verbal request or a tokenized credit-bureau consent form. Don't email it, upload it, write it on shared documents, or print it. Brkrr will never ask for your SIN.
Lenders verify your identity per FINTRAC anti-money-laundering rules. A driver's licence or passport works.
