We built Brkrr because Canadians deserve to know their mortgage agent is licensed.
Brkrr is Canada's mortgage agent directory — a platform where every listing is cross-checked against provincial regulatory registries. No guesswork. No unlicensed operators. Just verified professionals.

Free for consumers
Search, compare, and request matches — no cost, ever.
Open to every licensed broker
New or seasoned, every licensed broker earns a verified listing.
Canadian
Built in Canada, for Canadian consumers.
Our story
We needed a mortgage agent. So we Googled it — like most Canadians do. What we found was a mess: paid ads, unverified Google profiles, Reddit threads asking “is my broker even licensed?”, and brokerage directories that only listed their own agents. No independent reviews. No verification. No way to know who was legitimate.
Every province maintains a public registry of licensed mortgage professionals. The data is there — but buried in outdated government websites that no consumer would ever think to search.
So we built Brkrr. We pull agent data directly from provincial registries, verify licence status, and make it all searchable in one place. Agents claim their listing and start receiving consumer leads — for free. Consumers get the confidence that every agent on Brkrr is licensed, verified, and in good standing.
How we verify agents
Registry import
Agent data is imported directly from provincial regulatory registries — FSRA, BCFSA, and more. Licence number, type, status, and brokerage affiliation are all sourced from the regulator.
Brokerage email verification
When an agent claims their listing, they must verify ownership using their brokerage email address. Personal emails (Gmail, Yahoo, etc.) are not accepted.
Admin review
Every claim is reviewed by a Brkrr admin before the listing goes live. We check that the claim matches the registry data and the agent's identity.
Ongoing monitoring
Licence status is monitored against the registry. If an agent's licence expires, is surrendered, or is revoked, their listing is automatically hidden from search.

All agent data is sourced from the following provincial regulatory bodies:
